There’s some buzz about Google being able to read Flash text. It seems that Google is using Adobe Systems’ Search Engine SDK technology.
This is great news, Flash and SEO were like two “enemies” but I believe that finally great days are coming for Flash and Developers.

as I know Google was reading first 100kb of Flash much earlier than all of this buzz started
I don’t want to spoil the fun but this doesn’t mean anything impressive because most of the Flash sites today aren’t build static - all data embedded in SWF file, most of the Flash sites are build dynamic - data is loaded from XML or Database
Google and Adobe SDK doesn’t read this dynamiclly loaded data, so no time to sit and relax but still working on good alternative content and deeplinking is a way to go

I don’t know why, but the SWF/SEO story has been one of the most difficult to address online, over many years… despite accurate information being available, the SEO experts just can’t seem to find it.

I think that this is a huge step in the right direction for Adobe. Search Engine Optimization was a strong legitimate argument one can have against Flash. Soon, that will all change.
