Restart

Hello,

It has been a long time since my last post here at Beedigital. I have decided to take a break on posting here, many factors lead to make me take that decision, however I’m here to announce that this site will have updated posts almost everyday has it use to be some months ago.

Many thinks have change since the last time I visited this page (Add New Post), there’s many to talk about.

Stay tunned.

Webpage Snapshot with Aviary

Lifehacker shared an absolutely cool tip for Aviary. Imagine, you want to take a snapshot of a entire website that could be somewhat painful cause the page is too long. Using aviary that process is much simple and fast.

Just type in your browser http://aviary.com/ followed by the link you want to take the snapshot.

For example, to take a snapshot of Beedigital entire page you would type: http://aviary.com/www.beedigital.net/blog

Wait a few moments and you will get:

beedigital

The process doesn’t take too long and the image will be automatically opened in Falcon.

Give it a try!

Beedigital Forum

Hello folks.

Today is the first day of Beedigital Forum. This board is available to everyone who need to take doubts, share tips and more with the community. The idea was to create something simple and fast relying more on the information instead of the design. I wanted something simple!

I declare the boards open however I must communicate that I will perform some small changes on it. I will have a search box and will search more functionalities that I think may be useful for all.

I know how boards might be a pain to survive, so I ask everyone to lease populate those boards with useful messages and questions.

Have Fun!

Your ping was successful! Thanks for using Adobe Feeds. Yeah Sure….

It has been a long time since Beedigital was shut down from Adobe XML News Aggregator, I never knew why or how, I emailed everyone, submitted unlimited times the blog and no luck or answers. At this moment I was (am) perfectly conscious that Beedigital for some reason would never be available again at that place. It’s OK I can leave with that, really!

One hour ago while visiting the aggregator in a unconscious attempt to Ping my feed I got the message “Your ping was successful! Thanks for using Adobe Feeds.” , it used to be “Sorry, MXNA is not aggregating bla bla bla…anymore”.

My question is: What does this mean? I’m not event at the list of Weblogs!

When I was shut down I told to myself that I would never take that or share that problem here at the blog, however I felt it was very unfair to shut down a Blog that month after month added 1 or 2 sometimes even more posts at the top 10 of the MXNA stats.

I ask: Is it important for the community a place that they find useful somehow no matter the bad English or the outgoing links or the opinion of one or two user’s among millions?

Merry Christmas Beedigital, you just buy a fake Photoshop CS2 product!

It’s very strange how this kind of stories might happen so often. My story probably should be similar to many other’s, I’m reporting to let anyone know what happened to me to avoid that you fall in the same error.

One month ago while surfing eBay I was spotted to what it seemed a legitimate Adobe Photoshop CS2 box, it was new, not educational, never registered (could not be), and the best of all it was cheap ($260).
I need Photoshop so I decided to buy it. Problems started 1 day after buying when I noticed that the box was not being shipped from the seller’s country but from Taiwan!

Well the box arrived today, I open it and notice something strange on the box. The colors were somehow blur and not defined, the manual had the same problem.

The box had two Cd’s I pulled the installation one and inserted it in my laptop.

Ups, something is wrong!? They asked me for the serial (was at CD case) but I didn’t had to activate the product!? I clicked at the activation link on the help tab after installation but nothing happened. This issue was the same for the upgrade button.

The software itself works all wrong, arrow keys do not move objects, while in type mode if you press your arrow keys strange symbols appear.

That’s when I started to look at the box carefully and I notice the first sign of a fake product. The CD case didn’t bring the electronic seal they should have. That makes the software inside authentic I believe. Another issue I notice was the fact that the installation CD had some fingerprints on it and the case wasn’t even closed or totally sealed.

I have complain to eBay and Paypal and will be waiting for a solution for this. If there’s a solution.

$260 is 1/3 of what I win in some months. But let’s not discuss this.

The only think I wish the seller this Christmas is that he enjoys well the hard work money I gave him. Sooner or later he will pay for his acts.

The next step now is to wait for Paypal and eBay report of this.

If you want to help me you know how to do it:

Flash Image Viewer

This is a very simple and useful tutorial where you will create a image viewer using Actonscript 3.0.

This viewer will give you the option to navigate using the buttons at the movie but you can also navigate with your arrow keys. The right click menu for Flash will display two new options, one to download the current image and another to open the image in another browser window.
