Apple yesterday issued an update to its recently released operating system, Mac OS X Tiger. Mac OS X 10.4.1 includes many improvements to applications, Dashboard, .Mac and syncing, iLife and other enhancements.

The Mozilla Foundation issued a patch today for a previously undisclosed hole in its popular Firefox Web browser and is encouraging Firefox users to download the software update as soon as possible.

Yahoo will provide users of its free Web e-mail service 1 gigabyte of storage.

The upgrade from 250MB to 1GB will begin in late April and will include improved antivirus protection for the free e-mail service, according to the company. The protection will give users the ability to remove viruses from attachments. That feature was previously available only for a fee.

Some Internet Explorer 7.0 features:

1 - This new version will be focused primarily on improving security;
